We rely on God for everything. Or do we? We know that is what we should be doing. We perhaps say that we do. Yet so
often we, as we have done before, take matters into our own hands. And to what end? Even if we accomplish what we
set out to do, what have we really accomplished if we have not included God, if we have not done it as unto Him? The
funny (ironic) thing is that we really must rely on Him for everything, because we know that He sustains us and all good
things come from Him. That’s funny because no matter how much we try to do things on our own, we simply can’t. We
could not live another day if not for Him. Again--He sustains us. Yet though we cling to keep control of things we truly
have no control over, God patiently works with us to help us to learn more each day what it really means to let go and let God.
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6, NKJV
